See everything always works out

Today was one of the busiest days of the summer. But before I get into my last minute attempt at trying to get ready for France, I want to mention my salon story of the day. Obviously I need a haircut with going abroad so I go to this new place in Naperville that is somebody's home. I realized that it was going to be a different experience when I walk in to find that you could double my age and I would still be the youngest person there. Also all of the Sports Illustrated and Car magazines were from June meaning that I got to be the token minority for once. Anyway I need to get this hair stripping treatment (I know very manly right), but it’s necessary because I will admit my hair has been somewhat disgusting on occasion. You would think that they would just put something in your hair and wash out...No they put this foam in my hair, wrapped a plastic cover over it like a Bohemian Babushka and then sat me under one of those bowls that deep fry your head. I was actually scared that if I moved, the bowl would light the plastic on fire and I would be done for France. Without a stylish bush, nobody would let me study French culture. Moving on, over the course of the day I was able to cancel out most of the things on my list. The stars must have lined up for me because my credit card came in the mail along with my books. Also I was able to get the phone card activated after hours of hassle on the phone and I got some new Euro clothes with the help of girls who worked in the outlets. Had to remind them that I was going to Europe as I tried on clothes that were too small for me so that they wouldn't think I was gay, not that is a bad thing. Overall, I am glad everything worked out because my parents threatened to pull the trip if I hadn't gotten things together. Even better, I was able to say goodbye to a lot of people last night in Evanston. (If I didn't say goodbye to you, I am sorry I will make it up to you in favors in January). About a day and half left until I leave, starting to get a tad nervous. I really hate saying goodbye.....I love you all.

3 days before I leave on a jet plane

It kind of just hit me that I am going abroad for 4 months.....I just started packing and really put any thought in what I should bring. Yeah not going with the parents, but that is expected. I guess its just crunchtime for the next few days, while I still work at Edwards and show my face @Rudy's. Ordered my books so that they are delivered to my house on Friday, cutting it kind of close. Soo yeah just wanted to set this up, probably should get back to more important things like laundry...
